My favorite this week was actually Anya’s halter top that she created out of leashes and rope dog toys that she paired with a short black mini,celebrity dress, but I’m biased towards just about anything colorful. Although you could see the ends of the rope and you could tell that it was indeed once a rope, it’s edgy and unorthodox enough to work. I’ve been searching on eBay for a mini-skirt made of men’s old neckties, so clearly I’m biased this week towards Anya’s creation, but since she got no diplomatic immunity from me last week,2011 party dresses, she needed to make something to redeem herself in my eyes. CLAUDINE KEANE has been inundated with offers from Hollywood’s top agents, but is making sure her family comes first.

SOMETHING old, something new, something borrowed, something… green?

Jessica Ehlers likes the old adage promising good luck to the bride on her wedding day, but she has her own advice for couples about to head down the aisle: reduce, reuse and recycle.

The 25-year-old owner of Winnipeg��s only green event-planning company,2011 bridesmaid dress, With a Flourish, has just celebrated three years of business in Winnipeg but would like to see more couples including eco-friendly elements in their nuptials.

“I think Winnipeg��s green event industry is a little bit behind bigger cities,little white wedding dresses,” admits Ehlers.

But for some couples, having a green wedding is a no-brainer.

Monika Thiessen and her partner Mike Thys will celebrate their wedding anniversary this Sunday. The couple had their wedding celebration last year, and for this eco-minded couple, green was the only way to go.

��I liked that it was cool and there are art galleries around here,�� she says of Leslieville. ��I consider the store to be a bit of a gallery for dresses rather than a wedding gown shop.��

Her 18-person staff work both in her studio and their nearby homes, cutting, sewing, draping and beading before Belter signs off on each dress. Still, he enjoys his new role as producer, which presents with different types of challenges. “If you are a creative producer, so much of the creativity is exercise, and I like to be involved in a lot of things,” Wiseman said. “While I’m directing [Total Recall], I’m able to see everything that’s happening on Underworld and have a lot of creative input in that.”

He said he hasn’t allowed the latest wave of vampire films to influence the direction of the eight-year-old franchise.

“I don’t pay attention too much to all the other vampire movies going on,” Wiseman said. “That may change the focus on our series. It really has its own evolution to it. I think that if I can say anything in the change of it, it started in an era that was a little more Matrix-y at the time, the wire work that was popular and things like that, and that drove the action [of the early films]. … Ours is much more action-oriented than a lot of the others, and I hope that sets us apart.”

Similarly, Awakening may stand out from the previous three films in the series. “It feels very new, very different than the others,” Wiseman said.

One of the shortfalls of student drama is its incestuousness, and I should start by confessing my partiality here. As I admire the stage of actors in front of me, it becomes quickly apparent that this is going to be a tricky beast to review. During my three years at Oxford, Hippolyta has had a jamming session in my back garden; the harem-panted, face-painted Fairy and I have shared some dangerously violent moves in some of Oxford’s less awful clubs. Lysander and I have acted together in a short film; the show’s pianist and I have lived together, and Quince … well … Quince is my spiritual husband: my flatmate, classmate, and the love of my life.

So it’s with this confession out of the way that I shall attempt to review the Oxford University Dramatic Society and Thelma Holt tour’s production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

“There’s a human element in this Underworld that’s missing from the other ones,” offered Michael Ealy, who plays Detective Sebastian.“My character is probably the main component of that human element. I have the most interaction. That,2011 wedding dresses, to me, is what was missing from the first two.”

Ealy, who was experiencing his first Comic-Con � “This is crazy; I’ve never seen anything like it” � revealed that he performed much of his on wirework stunts in the film, requiring him to wear skintight harnesses.

Beckinsale, whose stunt work in the series helped to catapult her to the status of action star, acknowledged that, “As an adult the ability to get terrified from your work is quite healthy.”

“I did have a very painful experience on a wire trying to leap over two cars,” she recalled. “I think that was the time I actually shed a tear,wedding dresses 2011, the only time in the movie I shed a tear. That was kind of embarrassing.”
